Moreover, employers today are increasingly seeking candidates with a comprehensive profile. So, how do we achieve this?

  • Skills Development: These are undoubtedly what make the difference. At CEU, we focus on both personal and professional skills to prepare our students not only as experts in their fields but also as leaders capable of making an impact in their social and professional environments. Our goal is to enhance employability and provide the tools to face today's challenges.
  • Academic Excellence Plan. For our top-performing students in Degree in Medicine, we’ve developed an intensive training path designed to enrich their CV and create more opportunities. It helps them develop strategic skills in collaboration with prestigious companies.

1. Cutting-edge facilities

At our Castellón campus, we provide you with state-of-the-art facilities— the ideal environment for your training: dissection and anatomy rooms, laboratories, study rooms... We focus on active student learning through clinical simulation.

2. Bringing the profession into the classroom

Learning to be a good doctor requires close contact with top medical professionals from the very first year. That’s why healthcare professionals who work daily in hospitals and health centers dedicate time each week to teaching our students, bringing the reality of the profession into the classroom.

Our Degree in Medicine is one of the few in Spain advised and supported by the Foundation for Training of the Spanish Medical Association (FFOMC), the official body established by the Spanish Medical Organization (OMC) to enhance medical training. The OMC coordinates all Medical Associations in Spain. As such, we benefit from the training guidance of the main professional medical body in the country, with the direct involvement of its members through “Medical Professionalism Seminars.”

3. Focus on the MIR

Backed by AMIR Academy, you’ll receive MIR exam preparation training from your third year onwards (if your goal is to join the Spanish healthcare system). This will significantly increase your chances of choosing the specialty and residency you prefer. AMIR Academy boasts one of the highest success rates in recent MIR exam results.

4. Enhancing your employability

Starting in your third year, you can take the University Expert Diploma in Clinical and Diagnostic Medicine* free of charge. Its aim is to give you a clinical understanding of various medical specialties, and to strengthen your diagnostic skills, which are key to developing an appropriate treatment plan.

*Obtaining the University Expert Diploma is conditional upon completion of the Medicine Degree. If the student does not complete the degree but does complete this certificate, they will receive the Advanced Training Program in Clinical and Diagnostic Medicine.

With an international dimension. Our Degrees in Medicine and Medicine have earned the International Quality Seal from the World Federation for Medical Education, WFME. This international accreditation opens doors to the job markets of the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, allowing direct access to their medical specialization exams.

Moreover, our Degrees in Medicine and Medicine include Spain’s first Clinical Practice Program in the USA, a pioneering initiative that lets you undertake clinical rotations at prestigious hospitals and healthcare centers in Chicago and New York.

5. Student-centered approach

Our medical students’ practical training is reinforced by two Advanced Clinical Simulation Centers on campus. These spaces are equipped with cutting-edge hospital simulation technology to cover a wide range of clinical scenarios. They are inspired by real hospital settings, from wards to operating rooms, and include patient simulation robots. The time spent training in these centers helps improve clinical and teamwork skills.
Our OSCE exams are accredited by the Spanish National Conference of Medical School Deans. This certifies that our clinical skills assessment meets the highest standards of Spain’s university system—a clear sign of our rigorous training model and our strong focus on practical and clinical competencies. See accreditation certificate.

6. Emphasis on internationalization

At CEU UCH, you’ll be surrounded daily by students from over 100 countries—a significant advantage in our globalized world. Quality

Audit

The Certification of Implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System by ANECA in the Faculty of Health Sciences for the Valencia campus / Elche campus / Castellón campus, and the Institutional Accreditation of this Faculty at the Valencia campus / Elche campus / Castellón campus demonstrates its quality and transparency, the application of the continuous improvement cycle in its programs, and its orientation of these improvements toward the satisfaction of its various stakeholder groups.

Memory and reports

Survey results

Reports on the evaluation of student, PAS and PDI satisfaction regarding various aspects of the program allow gathering information to identify the main strengths and weaknesses of the degree and, together with other evidence, provide relevant data for defining improvement plans.

Monitoring

Official degree programs, once they have completed their third year of implementation or their accreditation renewal, will be evaluated by the Valencian Agency for Evaluation and Foresight (AVAP) to verify compliance with the project outlined in their curriculum verified by the Council of Universities.

The Degree in Medicine defines, reviews, and continuously maintains its quality objectives. To this end:

  • It annually prepares the Internal Monitoring Report, based on the results of the indicators and evidence from the Internal Quality Assurance System, which includes an analysis of its performance, proposes improvement actions, and monitors their progress.
