Ignacio Redondo GarcíaAward for the scientific article with the greatest international impact
Prof José Ignacio Redondo García, Professor of Veterinary Anaesthesiology at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, has received the Veterinary Record Impact Award 2025 for authoring the article with the greatest potential to change veterinary clinical practice internationally. Professor Redondo was presented with the award at the British Veterinary Association (BVA) conference in the United Kingdom. The BVA’s journal, Veterinary Record, one of the world's most prestigious journals in veterinary medicine, recognizes a single article in this way every year. The study, the largest international study in canine anaesthesiology, has enabled risk factors to be detected and clinical recommendations to be made to reduce the risk of anaesthetic mortality. Professor Redondo is also undertaking similar studies in feline and equine anaesthesiology.
