Ángel Gómez-MartínEuropean expert
Dr Ángel Gómez-Martín, a Ramón y Cajal researcher and lecturer in Veterinary Medicine at the CEU Cardenal Herrera (CEU UCH), is one of 11 experts from 8 different countries on the European Q Fever Committee. This interdisciplinary committee has been set up to promote the diagnosis, monitoring and prevention of Q fever in Europe, which affects both animals and humans. Dr Gómez-Martín is the lead researcher of the Microbiological Agents Associated with Animal Reproduction (ProVaginBIO) research group at CEU UCH and a member of the University's Biosafety Committee. He lectures on infectious disease and public health at CEU UCH's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Valencia.
