Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are a type of Erasmus+ mobility programme that combines an online phase with a short in-person stay (5 to 10 days) at a European university. Students and staff from at least three partner universities come together to work as a team, tackle a common challenge and enjoy an intensive and inclusive international experience.
At the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, we promote BIPs as part of our sustainable and interdisciplinary internationalization strategy, as they offer an accessible alternative to traditional mobility programmes. They are aimed at undergraduate and master's students, as well as teaching and administrative staff interested in participating in European projects.
If you are a lecturer and are interested in organising a BIP, we will support you every step of the way: from finding partners to academic planning and applying for Erasmus+.
iWeeks (International Weeks) are themed weeks organised by the CEU Cardenal Herrera University in collaboration with other international universities and experts. They offer students a global experience without leaving campus, with insightful classes, workshops, seminars, and cultural activities that encourage meaningful exchange between students and lecturers from different countries.
They form part of CEU's Internationalization at Home strategy and are aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students, teaching staff and international partners.
They promote collaborative work, an interdisciplinary approach and intercultural dialogue through an academic and social agenda with a global outlook.
Every year, the University offers specific training in internationalization and interculturality for teaching and administrative staff in order to promote a more open, inclusive university that is ready to welcome students from all over the world.
Some of our iWeeks include COIL activities or also form part of European programmes such as Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), thus combining face-to-face and online teaching with international collaboration.
Do you think you need to travel to build a truly international CV?
We believe that an international university is also a connected university. That is why CEU Valencia is partnering with institutions in Europe, Asia and the Americas to implement different learning modules across all our degree programmes: bilateral projects that aim to bring the world into each of our classrooms.
COIL stands for Collaborative Online International Learning, a pioneering methodology of interactive learning which has gained prominence at some of the world’s most international universities. Through online modules and training programmes, COIL makes global learning experiences available to a wider range of students, regardless of their geographical location.
